This was my second time to attend the Feast of Virgen de Peñafrancia. My 1st time was during her 300th years in 2010. I prefer attending the fluvial procession since it is always on a weekend. In addition, I will always be able to witness the translacion, which happens before the fluvial procession.
I was able to experience a lot of new things. It wasn't part of my plans to join the procession, but I was able to do so. Playing "patintero" with the police, just to be able to get to the bridge for the fluvial procession, was another amazing experience LOL. And the most rewarding part was being able to have a top view of the translacion. Thanks to the good people who allowed us to their penthouse. Seeing thousands or even millions of people joining the translacion was breathtaking! I was able to capture a 15 seconds video (via Instagram) of the tail of the translacion.
